“Those who follow the crowd usually get lost in it.” ……..I couldn’t agree more. I decided to take a leap of faith and custom build what is not considered predictable or the norm for a photographer’s setting. I did not build a studio with artificial lights. I did not rent a garage, office or storage to call a studio. Although these could have been easier routes, it was not what I was looking for. No options available were a fit for my “out of the box” vision. I don’t like shooting the predictable and have always had an appreciation for natural light and welcome unconventional settings. I enjoy seeing beauty in what is typically looked at as old, shabby or not aesthetically appealing. I am drawn to peeling paint, art and creative finds. I love the challenge of catching real emotion and styling children in a non-traditional way and preserve childhood as it should be–magical! With this said, we have built a labor of love! We have constructed a unique outdoor cottage studio and adorned it with shabby and eclectic vintage finds. If you love a shabby, eclectic, artistic cottage feel-then you will love this space! This is a dream come true for me. Someone once told me, “do what you love and never work a day in your life!” ….I am blessed to do what I LOVE and proud to be able to create artistically for those that appreciate my work.
